Diet Reboot

I took roughly a month off from high protein but I continued the OMAD (with 5-7 day/week compliance) and lifted weights 2-3 times/week.

From July 24 to August 16 I put on 3 pounds. 211 to 214. I felt really good during this period, including starches, dessert, and red wine in my evening consumption. This good feeling extended into every minute of my life. I felt good while in my daily activities, I felt great while working out and I slept well. Once again, I felt best in a period of weight gain.

The past week has been the first week of the reboot. I feel good but not quite as good as I felt when I ate whatever I pleased. On the downside, I did not lose any weight in my first week.

Usually, I lose quickly in the first week. Not this time. We might be tempted to say that I have replaced muscle with fat. Granted, my pants are looser-fitting these days but I have only been lifting for two months and even a one-pound increase in muscle would be unlikely Competitive bodybuilders only add 5-10 pounds of muscle a year.
