Insomnia

 Insomnia has returned. I have no trouble falling asleep but I wake up four to five hours into the sleep cycle and then I have trouble falling asleep. This had been a problem in 2014 when I was following the X Diet. It was also an issue in 2020 and resulted in me abandoning a high protein diet.

The last few days been rough. I had previously added a teaspoon of tryptophan to my 50 mg. diphenhydramine and my 5 mg. of melatonin. On Wednesday I added three ounces of gin. I reduced iit to 2 oz. of gin on Thursday evening.

Insomnia

I have experienced intermittent insomnia since starting and restarting X Diet. The night before last (Sunday into Monday) I awoke after about two hours of sleep and tossed and turned for the next few hours I tossed and turned and maybe got another half hour of sleep.


Last night I added 5 HTP (Tryptophan) to my regimen of 6 mg. melatonin and 50 mg. diphenhydramine. I slept much better.
