Weekly Weigh-in, January 25, 2010

I moved the scales and pointed them in every direction on my uneven floors and I seem to weigh 240 LB.

Weekly Weigh-in, January 18, 2010

I weigh about 241. Creeping back into the flubber zone. Still having a hard time getting an accurate reading on uneven floors.

Did some aerobic snow shoveling today. Hope to get back to some sort of routine following the much-discussed move.

Weekly Weigh-In, January 11, 2010

As mentioned, I moved recently to a more economically friendly environment. Part of the package of the cost savings happens to be, uneven floors. Not a major hassle until one wants to weigh oneself. I get different readings depending on which direction the scales are placed. I then take four readings and factor the mean.

But it's not as easy as it sounds. A movement of a few inches in any direction, even when the scales are facing east (for example) can make the scales read a two pound difference. Until I effectively resolve the precision I will estimate my current weight to be 240 pounds.

Weekly Weigh-in, January 4, 2010

I weighed about 240 on Monday. I have been eating a lo of rich holiday food but I have burned a lot of calories in the activities involved in changing addresses. When the holiday foods are all eaten, I will start a new diet. Stay tuned.

Weekly Weigh-in, December 28, 2009

I weighed 238 lb. this past Monday. I have been eating a lot of junk food and Christmas goodies and as of this writing I might weigh a little more than that.

Hope to get back into the routine real soon. The change of address is officially completed. I love Newmarket, New Hampshire. I filled out a change of address card at the Post Office this morning and a few hours later my mailman came by to say good-bye. The personnel at the Post Office have all been great. So have the town officials and the odd cacophany of humanity that is Newmarket.

Moving to Exeter might make dieting easier, however. Always looking on the bright side.

Moving

I am moving from Point A to Point B about ten miles away. I hope to save myself about $700-$800/month and I hope to once more become a property owner. Houses all over the US are more reasonably priced than a couple of years ago and I would like to take advantage of the situation before it is too late. Ohhh, but the move.

Oh but the move. It has consumed me. Most notably I stopped posting on my blogs. I also stopped my sporadic exercise. Of course, I have also eaten considerably less. Who has time to eat?

When the dust settles I hope to post daily. There is so much material I have not covered. I am emboldened by my drop in waist size but I have not had much time to celebrate my small victory.

I already have a couple of New Year's resolutions in place: 1. Hit my target weight of 200 lb. 2. Post at least 5 times/week.

Wish me well.

Weekly Weigh-In. Monday December 21.

Belated Happy Solstice as I am posting this on Tuesday, December 22.

On Monday, December 21 I weighed 238 lb.

On June 8 I weighed 256 lb. 18 lb. in just over six months. A nice accomplishment but maybe not a weight loss guru kind of accomplishment. After the Atkins-induced 6 pound loss the first week I have struggled to lose evry single pound. It's been more of a trench fight this time around. Each "plateau" has been a story unto itself. Each pound has been a chapter unto itself. Each morsel has been a potential game changer. Oh, the drama.
