So Many Diets, So Little Time

Since 2018 the only dietary rule I have followed is OMAD: One Mead A Day.

I had stated previously that OMAD did not seem to be an effective deflab loss method, but it helped me maintain my weight. Historically, my poundage was an elevator. Up or down. Not a lot of horizontal.

I made an agreement with myself that I eat WHATEVER I craved if I was only feeding once/day. The evening dinner turned into a nightly feast. Red wine, desserts, potatoes, processed entrees, candy. It was all on the table.

I did indeed prove that you could increase your girth while skipping breakfast and lunch. I attempted an Atkins style diet on two occassions and discontinued because I had trouble sleeping. Not falling asleep but waking repeatedly or waking for long intervals.

As I am writing this I am on Day 4 of another high protein/carb-restricted venture. I will show you the food log and weight loss later. Sleep problems have already developed. An amazing 8 lb. in 4 days but a lot of interrupted slumber.

Tonight I am going to try to eat a scoop of butter right before bedtime. Maybe that will keep my eyes shut.
