Feeling Good For A Change

I can't believe how great I have felt for about a week now. Ever since I suspended my diet I have had more physical and mental energy. No more digestive problems, lethargy or feeling cold all the time. I also seem to sleep better.

Because I don't want to discuss digestive issues in detail I downplay my ongoing problems. I sometimes think I should keep better track of such things. This I know: Fruits, vegetables and yogurt adversely affect my GI system more than potato chips, nachos and cheesecake. Also, lean meats seem to be less agreeable than fattier meats.

I recently talked to someone I haven't talked to for a couple of years. Of course I worked my weight loss into the conversation. 40 lb! Lowest weight in 25 years! She asked, "do you feel better?"

No, I don't feel better! Not when I was having the conversation, anyway. Since then, I abandoned the diet and have felt infinitely better. Of course I regained more than a pound a day during that feel good time.

I want to get down to 200 lb. and then go on a more high energy diet yet to be determined. Tentatively, I will restart the low-cal diet two days from now.
